Ripley’s Reveals it’s Remarkables!
Starting March 23rd
Top family entertainment attraction, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! London is delighted to announce the first finalists in its quest to find English eccentrics with remarkable skills. These weird and wonderful Ripley’s Remarkables will be presented live, at its Piccadilly Circus venue in the “Ripley’s Remarkables Showcase”, which will be starting on March 23rd.
The finalists have been selected from Ripley’s nationwide search for people with unusual and remarkable talents. Entrants are offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform right in the heart of the UK’s entertainment capital, London’s West End, at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, No1 Piccadilly Circus.
The first group of finalists include Shaun Jones, who can blow up hot water bottles until they burst; Lisett Jansen, whose talents include lifting weights with her eyelids; Rebecca Johnson, a burlesque performer whose skills include eating and walking on broken glass; Joel Levy, who has a gift for imitating unusual animal sounds and Timothy Eagle who can squeeze his entire body through a coat hanger!
The Ripley’s Remarkables Showcase will give visitors a chance to see live, and close up, the kind of human feats which are honoured and recreated in 500 plus exhibits at Ripley’s five floor location in Piccadilly. A special performance area has been created next to the newly opened Remarkables Café in the heart of the building where the first finalists will be joined by more live and unbelievable events throughout the year. Ripley’s is still on the lookout for further Remarkables and those who are interested in applying can do so at: www.ripleyslondon.com/remarkables
The Ripley’s Remarkables Showcase launches on Tuesday 23rd March 2010, with regular performances every week thereafter.
